We have one position available at an elementary school in Bucheon, Gyeonggi, Korea.++In-Brief++– Start date: March 1st 2010– Vacancies: 1– Schedule: 22 classes per week– Working days: Mon - Fri– Working hours: 8.30AM - 4.30PM++Salary & Benefits++– 2.0 - 2.5 Million KRW depending on experience & qualifications (please see guide-line below)– Free fully furnished private apartment– Round-trip air-ticket– Completion bonus equal to one month’s salary– 20 days regular paid vacation + extra bonus vacations of up to 10 days– Medical insurance 50%– Hugely supportive principal & vice-principal!Although the school is not a member of the EPIK program, the contract, housing, working conditions and overtime pay are almost the same as for EPIK teachers except that this school can provide 20 days of regular paid leave + extra bonus vacations of up to two 5 day bonus vacations for teachers who get an A grade teaching performance and evaluations conducted at the end of each semester. About the schoolThe school is in Bucheon, a 0.8 million populated city, 40 minutes away from Seoul. The city has 63 elementary schools, 32 middle schools, 27 high schools. This elementary school, has 480 students, a nice indoor gym, an usual sized playground and 20 teachers. About the apartmentThe apartment size 300sqf. It is located at a very convenient area that has a department store right in front of it, 3 supermarkets like E-mart, an inter-state bus terminal and a bus stop directly heading for Seoul within 0.5 kilometer radius. It takes around 10 minutes to get to the school from the apartment. About the jobA foreign teacher will conduct 22 class hours per week, check students homework and manage communications between this school and the sisterhood school located in a foreign country. This year, our native English teacher conducted 26 class hours and it means he got paid another 320,000KRW extra.Pay-scaleLEVEL S => 2,500,000 KRW : 2 consecutive years of full-time teaching experience at a public school in Gyeonggi Province as Level 1.LEVEL 1+ => 2,400,000 KRW : 1 year of full-time teaching experience at a public school in Gyeonggi Province as Level 1.LEVEL 1 => 2,300,000 KRW : 2 years of full-time teaching experience at a accredited institute plus one of the following;master’s degree, teacher’s license of TEFL/TESOL/CELTA(100+hrs) Certificate, Bachelor’s degree in Education, English literature/composition/
